My sisters and i are intending to complete our last stage of the CF this year.
I've found that booking hostels for may this year is very busy. Does anyone know if something special is happening in Madrid or from sahagun to sarria?

Plus all the regional romerias / fiestas for the local Patrons.

There is also Mothers Day which is not an official day but families will be travelling.

Other european countries have other national holidays too in May so they will also be on the road or taking a week off for travel.

When you say that booking hostels they look very busy, how are you trying to book>
If using apps like booking . com it might be they have not yet loaded their availability yet.
Maybe try contacting direct via whatsapp to see?
You find most phone numbers on here. those starting with 06 (rather than a 9) are mobile/cell numbers and most will be on whatsapp.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Thnx for the replied. I have tried contacting direct and a lot of the places are fully booked for that weekend in may. I have found alternatives but think there must be some special event happening this may
