I've been a fan of Hikers Wool since 2015 when I first used it on Camino.
It's wonderful stuff.
Providing a soft padding and natural oils on 'hot spots' as they occur, so that blisters can be avoided!

I've been trialling a new version of Hikers Wool that we have been collecting at Home.
Meet my business partner 'Tiger', a 5 year old British Short Hair.
He looks after the production side of things.

The idea came to use when brushing Tiger recently. He sheds a lot of Hair!
This is one month worth of brushing.......

It's enough to fill a sandwich bag, which I reckon would last 1 Pilgrim 1 month on Camino.

But. This is so much better than sheep's wool.
It's softer, like super fine Merino.
It has cat oils in it which are far nicer to your skin, and the best part is......

Being cat hair, you just leave it out overnight and it's self cleaning :)

The only slight downside we've noticed in use, is that it tends to attract Dogs.
But we're working on that.......

Available soon on Amazon. ;)

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Love this. I hope it works well for both you and for Tiger! (he's adorable!)

Thinking out of the box here too... I am a professional longarm quilter and I have lots of 100% wool batting scraps... hmmm. I will try it out in my shoes too!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I used to have a Siberian Husky which shed his undercoat 2x a year. That might have worked, too, I imagine.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
I forgot what day it is :-D You had me going.

But ok, I ordered hikers wool from New Zealand last time... Living in Norway, a sheep country, i found that really stupid. Soooo, I went on a hunt for local fiber artists/spinners. And law and behold, for a fraction of the price I got a bag of clean raw wool. Hopefully it performs. So I was already in line for a creative solution to hikers wool.

Happy April Fools Day.

I should point out that the OPs product is not recommended for the allergic...like me ;)

TBH, wool makes me itch. I don't use merino products, either.. 😀

You could probably fill your own sleeping bag with that!! :D

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.

Hi Karyn - my wife has also been a quilter for many years (45+) and on her behalf we are wondering if you have ever put together or quilted a Camino-themed quilt. Any patterns out there that you know about?
