Ivar updated the forum software today (there was an announcement about that) and there are still some minor issues to be worked out. One thing that a number of us have noticed is that when you post something, you may get an error message telling you that your post did not succeed. Your content remains in the post editing portion of the page. All indications are that you should try again. But really it has posted. So when you try again, you post it a second time creating a duplicate (or triplicate in some cases) post. The mods are trying to weed out the duplicates (kudos to my fellow mods who have beaten me to them).

But my advice, at least for now, is that if you see the error message, refresh the page and check to see if your post has succeeded before trying to post again.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
We are working to fix this... I wonder if someone that has posted recently has seen this problem, or that it might have been fixed? :)
If you mean fixed in that the error message is no longer appearing and the system is just posting as per normal then yes it's working fine.
There are of course a handful of duplicate posts still out there I reported one a few minutes back

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

ok, thanks... if you see one it would be good if you could click the report button so that we (the mods and I) can delete these... thank you!

The Germans have a word for it (of course): verschlimbesserung. Usually only applied to politicians: trying to improve things but actually making them worse.
That is what I loved about German in school. I called it a knife and fork language. Easy to get into, not like French, for me. I did learn later, that my exposure to Latin, French and German laid the basis for my ability to cop on and be fairly nimble with Spanish. Sorry for derailing, but yes, I love the gift of the German language that adds on and on...

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

I just did a test in the sand box thread. Everything works like it should.

Edit: BTW, Yesterday I had one of those duplicate posts myself so I knew what to look for during the posting and its result (I quickly deleted the duplicate).

I had one yesterday, on Chrissy’s thread.
When I got the error message, I looked up at the top right hand corner of the screen and saw the little moving yellow rectangles that sometimes appear when things get a bit ‘slow’ on the forum. I always assumed the site was doing a quick update of some sort.

But having had duplicates in the past, I did check - and deleted one of the two that had appeared. 😉

It happens …. (shrug) 🙂

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Before refreshing, select your text and copy to clipboard so you can paste it in if your post isn't there. (Took me several times to learn this the hard way on other forums!)

Odd … 🤔

I just posted and the little note which shows the time or date posted, top left, just above the post, read: “In 7 minutes”.

It’s back to ‘A moment ago’ now.
I've been seeing similar things for years. It wasn't caused by the recent forum software upgrade.

It would be nice if I could use this time glitch on some financial site.
