what are the differences between camino via francigena and camino assisi and camino st. francis?
which is nicest part?

Hi offer!
The Via Francigena starts in Canterbury and ends in Rome. I have only walked it to Besançon (France). The French part is a lonely route (never encountered another pilgrim) and with quite long distances between accommodation.

Don't know anything about the camino St francis. Could be the same as the Camino di Assisi? Or could you possibly mean the Camino francés? Apologies if I am wrong.
It leads from the Pyrénées to Santiago de Compostela. Plenty of information about it on this forum.

The Way of St Francis is a different route to Rome that runs through Assisi to Rome.
As with most Caminos...there are several "starting points" one of which is Florence.

It runs to the East of the Via Francigena and is an entirely different route.

There is a guide by Sandy Brown published by Cicerone that covers the route.

Hi. I am walking from Lucca to Siena in May 2017, with my wife. I am using the Lightfoot Guide to the Via Francigena, (on advise received) and having looked at others I found to be the one that I liked the best. Lucca to Siena appears to be a nice section to walk. I will know more in a few weeks. You walk what you thing is right for you. Enjoy.
