Desire become a Way.

It's true, so true. Just a few hours and i'll be flying to my first Camino.

I'm nervous, i'm scared,I barely breathe, i'm realy not sure why i'm doing this - but i guess I had a really good reason to buy airplane ticket and decidet to go to Camino on my own.

I'm really scared, but i decidet to do step by step and face with problems when they comes.

Buen Camino.

A great book to listen to while training for the Camino or to relive the experience!
I had wanted to do the Camino for 5 years before I actually got to do it. I was so excited during all the planning but on the way to the airport I started having real anxiety problems. My sister-in-law kept saying "Aren't you excited?" and I just didn't even want to talk I was so scared. I had built this idea up for 5 years and then when it came right down to it I suddenly thought "Can I really do this? Am I insane?" But as soon as I got on that plane all the anxiety left and I got excited again. The camino was a lot harder at times than I expected but it was so much more wonderful than I could have ever imagined. That is why I am back for my second Camino this Sept. I am curious to see if I will be anxious again since this time I am going alone.

Buen Camino!!
You will love it, I have had to split my Camino as life does not allow me currently to have enough time to do it all at once, this year was my second trip - both times I have been nervous to start but by the first evening I have made so many friends, such wonderful people on the Camino and the mornings, the glorious mornings - start early and enjoy them, they are the best part! Do try and spend some time walking alone, the company is great but it is important to have time with your own thoughts too - enjoy!

Before the Camino: Your Pocket Guide to Prepare Your Body and Mind for the Camino
That still, small voice that whispers to the heart of every individual calls you to the Way. It may not invite all, but for those who hear the call, it never stops. In moments of fear, anxiety, and distress, close yourself and seek that same voice that continues to call you to come. (Remember the verse in 1 Kings 19:11-12)

The Camino will try you, but it will also strengthen you. Listen to that small voice that never leaves and rejoice in each moment you spend walking the Camino. May God continue to bless and keep you within His embrace. Peace and joy along the way to you.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
