The following has been passed to me by JohnnieWalker who lives in Santiago.

There have been a number of occasions where Pilgrims have been caught out by not making an appointment for a COVID test and have ended up missing their flight and having to reschedule. The following is a list of clinics/laboratories compiled by the Tourist Authority in Santiago, which also highlights those open on a weekend. Also attached is a map of the city, where applicable the clinic listing shows the grid square on the map where it is located.

Excellent information, thanks!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

What kind of test do you need? Which country are you flying back to? The online antigen tests take 15 minutes for results. The CDC accepts them for those returning to the US, but the only downside is that you have to carry the test kit with you as you walk (It’s about the size of a white bread sandwich). Labs in Santiago do both PCR tests and antigen tests. Antigen results are usually less than an hour, PCR typically take overnight. And if you’re flying home through Madrid, the airport has a testing center as well.

And who knows what the requirements will be in 6 months!
If I go next Spring I will probably take those self tests that you can do with a video call proctor.
