Closed bars - Cascantes and Buen Suceso?

2024 - which Camino? IDK!
2025 CF from SJPdP?
I have seen some reports of these bars being closed - in the case of Buen Suceso, perhaps permanently due to retirement.

The bar in Cascantes was a welcome break for a beer and tortilla to fuel me for the last bit to La Robla. I’ll go to La Seca instead if it’s confirmed that Cascantes is closed.

The bar in Buen Suceso was great for incredible mushroom tortilla that was essential on the day to Poladura de La Tércia. It would be a real shame if it is, indeed, closed.

Thanks!
Bob

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The bar in Cascantes is definitely closed. Owners bought a bar in La Robla. FYI The bar in La Seca is closed on Tuesday (the day I passed by on Mar 28). Definitely nothing after Buiza. Don't recall any bar named Buen Suceso.

Oh, no, don’t tell me! That place was famous for its tortillas, so many varieties and all so delicious. I remember once being there with three others and we all got something different and all tried each others’ and it was heaven!

Goodle says it’s temporarily closed, and Facebook says it’s for sale. :-(

The last time I walked the Salvador I didn’t stop because I had eaten lunch in La Robla. Now I am very sorry that I made that decision!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Just heard a bit of an update on Buen Suceso from Ender. Two long term employees retired a few years ago and that put the squeeze on the owners, a married couple. They both have serious health issues, and the daughter doesn’t want to continue with it, so it is closed. But they are hoping for a buyer. Very sad.
