Caminho das Feiras e dos Arrieiros
Has anyone camped out on the Camino da Geira e dos Arreeiros?

Planning on going sometime in September but sue to the lack of Albergues I'm consider bringing a lightweight tent with and then by the time I get to Spain where there more Albergues I will just post it home.
Want to do do it in 7 or 8 days.
I see that there are places to stay but they all over the budget that I'm willing to spend.

Any ideas?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
As far as I know, there are no albergues on the Spanish side of the Geira either. Other than the very comfortable albergue in Candelas in Portugal, in 2022 I slept in hotels or pensións all the way to Santiago. Mostly reasonably priced (I don't remember paying more than about 30€), but certainly more than xunta albergue rates.

Astonishingly, jaw-droppingly beautiful, but not especially cheap.

You need to check to see if free camping is allowed in both Portugal & Spain as I think I have read somewhere that in most cases it is prohibited

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

In Portugal us legal as long as you don't invade private property and in Spain is not legal but they kind of let you do it.....

On the 'Spanish side' you have albergues in Beariz and Couso (just before Pontevea).
