No I didn't see it.Does the route to Cicera still pass by Santa María de Liébana? One of my Lebañiego regrets is that it was closed when I went by.

Hi Sean,It's on tomorrows walk to Cabanes..
Oh, of course. I had confused Cicera with Cabañes. With the routing through Cades and Cabañes, it sounds much improved. It's on tomorrows walk to Cabanes..
Yes. Beautiful mixed salad.Hi Sean,
Thanks for your posts. I'm hoping to start this walk Aug. 30th. Do I understand that you were able to buy lunch at the Cabanes albergue? That's some good intel!
Yes. The old jail. Room for 60. I was only one!I’m assuming the albergue is still in the old jail in Potes looking out over the river (your next to last picture). What an awesome albergue! When I was there, the tourist office let pilgrims spend two nights there so that we could walk out and visit the monastery de Santo Toribio, and then come back to enjoy the rest of the day in Potes. Next day, onward to Fuente Dé.
Looking forward to your Vadiniense posts! The incessant road walking left one of my big toes painfully shredded into many blisters, so I had to bus the last day into León and rest there for a few days before carrying on on the Salvador.
(P.s. I moved this thread to the Vadiniense sub-forum. We don’t have a special subforum for Lebaniego, and so we include it with the Vadiniense posts, since for most people the Lebaniego is a prelude to the Vadiniense, as it is for you).
