Camino Insanity

Al the optimist

Veteran Member
So there I was yesterday morning, trudging along an English canal towpath through the snow, ice, mud and flood on a cold morning. Only my second training session of the year. Time for thought? Time to observe the beautiful countryside? Time to enjoy seeing kingfishers, herons, ducks and geese? Time to contemplate , to reach conclusions. Not really as I spent nearly all my time during the four hour 13 mile walk with my head down concentrating on where to put my next step and avoid having yet another Torville and Dean moment. I did come to one conclusion at the end of what became a very tiring walk - Camino Fevour = Insanity!

Good practise if you are planning on walking the Camino in winter!

True Silv, but I'm staring early May! I just need to get the old bod ready. I practised the rehydration phase as well yesterday. I think I may be up to speed there!
