Wanted to share this, I have no commercial affiliation. These are the Berkenstock Gizeh Eva. I was diagnosed with a really bad heelspur and needed some in house slippers. After some research I found this so far it feels great. Lightweight enough for your pack on the camino and can be worn in the shower. Never mind the Pink.o_O..it was on sale and only weighs 82 grams. It does come in lots of colors and normal price inthe US average is $40.

3rd Edition. Vital content training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I suggest hiking long distances with a pack at home before committing to sandals as your primary Camino footwear.
I agree. I have my gtx trailrunners for that used on the Frances this past april .....definately not pink;):p. My post is meant primarily for shower/post walking sandal. I will edit the title to convey this thank you for pointing that out

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 30 to April 2
I could not wear sandals with a post between my toes. They would drive me nuts. But I wore Birkenstock plastic sandals (black, Madrid model name) for evening and town wear on the VdlP last fall. Since, I have worn them for my house slippers and for various other purposes. I expect to take them with me on my next camino. For weight, comfort and durability they are perfect for me.

Definitely not pink, but oh so comfy and great for showers and end of day. Birkenstock arch support with the ability to get wet and dry quickly.

Only question is, should I wear them with socks?

I have the Arizona model, they are slides. I agree they are a good shower choice. But they are a lot more expensive than simple flip-flops.

If the Birks will serve as your second pair of footwear, and you only have two pairs total, then the case on behalf of the Birks is better. But, if you are going to have your daytime footwear, some sort of lighter footwear for evening and rest day use, AND shower shoes, then the Birks are excessive, at least IMHO.

Hope this helps.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Love your pink sandals. Will have to see if I can get them in New Zealand. No chance of leaving them behind in the Albergue.
They come in a few other colors too including yellow and coral. Other colors were not available and were sold out the pink was all they had left lol . A great pair of slipper my feet definately feel better .
