I want to do Camino del Norte on Feb -March…Does somebody has experiences in that particular time of the the year.., or may somebody an interest of doing this as well..?
I did it April 6-may 18 2018. The albergues were mostly just starting to open, and a few were still closed the first couple weeks of April. I started in Irun.
be aware you may not have access to many albergues in Feb-March.
I met a guy on the CF after Burgos at the end of October who had abandoned the Norte earlier that month as albergues were already closing and he was struggling with accomodation. Most albergues will probably open in the run up to Easter. Even some other accomodation is tourist focused and shuts down over the winter months. Nothing is impossible but you will need to do some research eg gronze, wisepilgrim etc on accomodation. Plus probably add money to your budget for taxi or hotels.
However, I did the Via Bayona/Vasco Interior which starts in Bayonne or Irun and all the albergues on it are open all year.
