Is there a bus stop close to the Santiago old town for the airport bus? Or do you need to catch the bus at the Santiago bus station?

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

This past March 2022, the airport bus stop that left from Praza de Galicia in front of Hotel Universal was changed to a street parallel to it. Does someone in Santiago know current details?

Great information, thanks! Probably less expensive than a 20 Euro taxi? How often does it leave the Praza de Galicia? Is there an online time schedule?
Hi Teambergie, in 2019 there was a schedule in the plaza at the bus stop. I can't recall the directional position of the bus stop within the plaza. I got there early, lined up, bought my ticket from the ticket person and then boarded the bus when it came. Two people didn't want to buy a ticket from the ticket person and he wouldn't let them on the bus until everyone else who had purchased a ticket was on board. They complained because they were there early and he ignored them until everyone else was on the bus. Don't mess with the ticket seller!!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
The tourist office in Santiago told me where the 6A bus stops in town. 1€ pay driver on the bus.

I believe it now leaves from Rua do Horreo see map/street view image. This is not far from the original bus stop in Plaza de Galicia.

A great book to listen to while training for the Camino or to relive the experience!

We have an early (ish) flight. Do you know what time the first bus leaves please?

Excellent way to end Camino with early flight is to sleep at airport. And extra challenge is to walk to airport. Bit over 10km. You will see plenty of pilgrims arriving happily to SdC.

For me it was a nice way to say goodbye to Camino! 🌻🌞

Give back to the Camino. Join us from Logroño to Burgos May 30 to June 8.
This was linked to from the Airport website and shows bus times
Thank you. That's very helpful.

Yes, it’s Rua Horreo— I am in Galicia right now and took the 6A out to Monte do Gozo this past Saturday after furnishing the Portuguese Coastal route—- just to get some memories! I’m on the English route now. There is a bus stop shelter there. Be aware that on that particular Saturday, it was a very crowded bus. In fact some folks let the first bus go and took the second one which came within 15 minutes— it was nearly just as crowded!

Crowded, yes even on a Thursday afternoon when I travelled and stood with rucksack on my back all the way to the airport. ( no giving up a seat to an older passenger. )

Yes, Rua do Herreo, line 6A. I got this bus 3 weeks ago, driving to the airport. About 40 min ride. It’s not a special airport bus, but a local bus. It has a stop just in front of the arrival doors at the airport.

Does the Airport bus no longer stop at the old bus station at the end of Rua de Anxo Casal in the Plaza de Camil Diaz Balino?
Buses to Ferrol went from here to start the Ingles.
