Is there a bus from Santiago bus station to airport and is it frequent.

A selection of Camino Jewellery
Yes. Roughly 20 minute intervals between 6am and 10.30pm. Costs 1 euro.

I think that the OP was asking if it goes from the bus station, which unless anything has changed in the last year, it does not. I got a flea in my ear from "customer services" at the bus station when I asked.

I've not used the bus (I use a taxi to get to the airport), but it can be caught on the main road outside the bus station.

Also, the driver prefers cash.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Just for clarification for the asker, is "outside the bus station" on the bus station side of the central transportation center or on the train station side outside by the main road (meaning you walk from the bus station turn right and go through the train station area to the main road? If memory serves it is on the main road

It's a bit confusing because the airport bus stop used to be in the Praza itself and some websites have not been updated with the new location.
Sorry for being a pain does the bus coming from airport stop in Rua de Horreo or is that the departure point for airport.

Rua de Horreo is one-way (northbound, away from the railway station) for the most part. I haven't taken the bus from the airport, but the timetable shows it going via Praza de Galicia, then Rua de Rosa and then Horreo. There is a 6A bus stop right outside the station on Horreo. Which way are you going?

Both going and coming from airport, going to airport from muxia bus 30th Aug and coming from airport on 23rd Aug to Rua Villar in old town.

OK - Assuming Muxia bus goes to the Intermodal (i.e. bus and train) station, take the 6A to the airport. Simples.

Coming from the airport, best stop is probably Virxe da Cerca - Praza de Abastos 2. That's the one @Bradypus mentioned at #6 above. You can find Rua Vilar from there?

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Hi all,

Sorry, a bit confused. Sleeping in Albergue Estacion. What is the nearest stop for bus 6a? I am a bit confused by ‘Horreo (Estacion)’ in the schedule - google maps shows a few different options.

Also, is it for sure you cant get a bus from the bus station itself? Bus lines to Lugo (XG802) show Labacolla airport as a bus stop on the lists (bus.gal), however when trying to get it through Monbus site - nothing comes up. Is it another bus company?

That was not what I was asking. I wanted to confirm the location of the stop opposite Mercado de Abastos.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

It was definitely there a year ago when I used it but perhaps someone who has been there more recently can confirm it is still in use. And it also appears on Google Streetview in an image dated just last month.

I've taken the airport bus at that stop lots of times, but not yet this year. There was some talk recently of changes to the airport stops. Curiously, Google maps isn't showing the usual blue icon (or scheduled services) for that stop, I don't remember if it did before?🤔
