Bus from Madrid to Caceres on Labour day.

Hi, due to work commitments my family can only walk for a week each year, this year it’s Caceres to Salamanca, only problem is that they will probably have to bus there on Friday the first of May which is Labour Day. Has anyone any practical experience of public transport on Labour Day?
