Hi, am I correct in assuming I can buy a ticket from the bus driver? I don't speak Spanish and have searched the Tussa webpage on how to buy a ticket but I just can't figure it out.

Moderator note: As indicated in the thread title, this enquiry is about the bus from the city of Santiago, to the Santiago airport.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
The bus fare is 1€ m
Make sure you have the correct money handy.

Hola

Here is the bus stop near the old town and the Cathedral.
Just next to Cafeteria Alabama.
Open google maps and type in Santiago de Compostela and Cafeteria Alabama.

Does anyone know if this bus takes card payment, or does it have to be cash? The website doesn't help

Thanks
Louise

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

It costs 1€ flat fare. No idea whether the driver can do a card payment. Just have yoir 1€ ready.

Yes, €1.00 single
The bus can get very busy, I was practically sitting with driver!
This was on a midweek afternoon in September!
Not much fund, standing the whole journey, especially with a rucksack!

I did the same last May. I stood all the way to the airport, rucksack on my back. Mid afternoon, weekday bus.

It's a short €1 bus journey. If you dont find it convenient, you could always take a taxi if you want to travel in guaranteed comfort.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The bus stop timetable is in Galician, not Spanish🥰

I was more than able to stand for the journey even at my advanced age! Noticibly no younger folk offered a seat to older travellers.

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.

Yes you can pay on the bus and it's just 1 euro from the airport to the city

Definitely still 1 euro. I went to the place where the airport bus has always left from since I started doing caminos in 2011 and it listed the 6A as expected. When the bus turned up I hopped on to be told no, go to the other side! Looked all aroud the other side of the plaza and could see nothing. Finally, discovered it had moved as posted by Lettingo earlier in this thread. Pity the original stop still lists the bus.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Definitely cash only. It’s a local bus and the fare is only 2 euros. I caught it just last week 😂 it’s a great service, think it runs every 30 minutes.

No problem .. all drivers understand “airport”. The cost is 1-2 euro.. make sure you have coins to keep the driver happy. Bus 6A - If you can’t find the bus stop - the friendly locals will point you in the right direction. It’s easy peasy!
