Braga to Ponte de Lima

Hi All
I'm walking the Portuguese central route and going to detour to Braga. I see that there is a route from Braga to Ponte de Lima with an albergue in Goães. Is this route well signposted with yellow arrows? I don't tend to use apps as I walk, but will if necessary. Thanks.

Braga to Ponte de Lima is part of the Camino Torres, which goes from Salamanca to Santiago, connecting with the Central Portugal route in Ponte de Lima.

Here’s some information on the stage between Braga and Ponte de Lima.

Many of us have walked the Torres, but I can’t remember anyone who went from Braga to Ponte de Lima (though I think Álvaro Lazaga, Spanish Vlogger did and has a video on it on youtube). The more frequent way for Torres pilgrims to get to Santiago, I think, is to pick up the Camino da Geira e dos Arrieiros in Braga and head north rather than veering west to connect with the Central Portugal route.

I walked the Torres/Geira in 2022 and was glad to have GPS tracks on my phone. Marking was generally quite good, so I didn’t walk with my face in my phone, but there were times when I was really glad I had tracks with me. This not a remote area of Portugal, but for those of us who walk alone on untravelled routes, I think it’s a good insurance policy to always have the tracks available.

Thanks for your response and advice. Am planning Camino da Geira E did Arrieros next year, so good to know GPS tracks necessary.
Hoping Braga to Ponte de Lima is well signposted. Will be doing that end of this month.

I walked from Braga to Ponte de Lima in 2019 and as far as I recall the marking was fine. The Portuguese site for the Torres has details of the albergue although I did it in one day.

I walked Braga to Ponte de Lima in 2016 before Camino apps were common. No problem with way marking then. I walked it in one long day.
