Several and counting...
I have just seen this from Ray y Rosa on Facebook. I don't think I can link to FB from here.

We present to you the new book of Alejandro González Flores, better known as Alex Camino or Alex Bodenaya.
"Vicarie Pro" is a novel set in the early 90s, at the beginning of the revival of the Camino.

Alex is a well-known pilgrim, hospitalist founder of the Bodenaya hostel, and writer of numerous articles for the Camino Consumer website. This is his second book and first novel.

Good luck my friend and thank you very much to all.

Ps. If you're interested you can buy it through Alex Camino's profile, the Vicarie Pro Facebook page, or from his email: alesitogonzalez@msn.com

I hope this doesn't infringe on advertising. Mods I leave that to you.

Bodenaya (on the Primitivo) is one of the truly iconic albergues, even though i think it has, or is about to, change hands again. But the extraordinary tradition of hospitality there seems ingrained in the very building now.

The book is in Spanish. I have not read it.....yet! ;)

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
I am reading it now. So far, so good -- it is a fun look at what the pilgrimage was like in the early days. It is a very masculine POV, with bits and bobs of fantasy.
In 1990 the pilgrimage was largely masculine :) The gradual shift to equal numbers of male and female and now the majority being female is one of the fascinating but little mentioned trends in the pilgrim stats.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
