As you might imagine, Ender and the Salvador angels are spitting mad. Complaints have been filed, but the damage is done.

It appears to have been a lumber company’s machinery. The exact spot is between Portazgo and La Manjoya. Portazgo is the spot where that old “league marker” is located (from there, it’s 1 1/2 leagues to Oviedo). Right before that short climb through the wooded area.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
In the famous words of Joni Mitchell, "they paved paradise and put up a parking lot" and soon the legacy of the Roman Ways will become only little bits of the history of Spain.
And "you don't know what you've got till it's gone". How sad!

Just...😢
Greed harms again. And whoever did this doesn't care one bit. Hopefully they will be made to care.

What does 'BIC' mean here?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
