Time of past OR future Camino
Walking my first camino this year.
Hi everyone, I am arriving into Biarritz airport at 5pm on May 9th this coming Saturday.

Does anyone have a tip as to the quickest and cheapest way to St Jean?

Also if anyone would like to share travel please let me know :)

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

The last train from Bayonne to SJPdP is at 1806, so you probably will not be able to catch it. If everything works efficiently, you can get a taxi from the airport to the train station, and be in time for the bus/train. It will be close at best!

Look at the Express Bouricott site and see if anyone has a taxi booked. They try to infill so you may get a place. They split the costs so it can be as cheap as 16 euros. Caroline speaks English and replies to enquires promptly.

Biarritz Airport is the closest airport to SJPdP.

SNCF TER Aquitaine. Train service from Gare de Bayonne to SJPdP #62. Sometimes train service is replaced by a bus that operates on the same schedule with the same stops using the same tickets. Note the station name is 'Saint Jean Pied de Port' ... the website does not recognize 'SJPdP'.

The tracks got washed out in Spring 2014. At time of edit (July 2014) the train goes from Bayonne to Cambo les Bains. Passengers to SJPdP transfer to an SNCF operated bus at Cambo les Bains. There is no information as to when the tracks will be repaired. The schedule is changing often.

Express Bourricot, based in SJPdP, offers 'person transportation' service to and from Biarritz Airport as well as any other location in the region. This service is essentially a private hire taxi and must be arranged in advance. The cost goes down as the number of passengers goes up.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I arrive on a Ryan Air flight from London to Biarritz on Monday 18th May 2015 at 17h05. I have arranged a road transfer to St Jean Pied de Port that evening - 18th May.

There is space for 7 other people which will reduce the cost per person. The journey costs Euro 120.
Does anybody want to share the transfer with me?

Thanks
Louise Kerby

I am looking into this transport as we are flying into Biarritz on May 24,2015.http://www.expressbourricot.com/en/persons-transport/. The ol' saying "The more the merrier" is true
here with the pocketbook as well. When you book with them they post it on their website as far as # of passengers and if you would like to travel on a date click on it and it will add you to
the group that is going that date/ and time: So, again, we will be taking this transport on May 24, 2015 to St. Jean Pied De Port, we could have them take us to Roncesvalles to the Refuge d'Orisson for and
extra 8€ per person.
Examples of prices (per person)

De St Jean Pied de Port à : 1 pers: 2pers 4 pers: 8 pers:
Biarritz 80 € 40 € 20 € 18 €
Ronceveaux (toute heure)
Ronceveaux (10h00)

Hope this helps!
Buen Camino!
