Best/most reliable way to get from Biarritz airport to SJPP?

I'm flying Rome to Biarritz. Should I take a taxi from Biarritz airport to Gare de Bayonne Station and then train to SJPP OR are there any shuttle services (that you would recommend) that will take me from Biarritz to SJPP direct? I'm travelling solo.

I'll stay overnight in SJPP and start walking in the AM. Any SJPP hotel recommendations? I'm hoping to meet up with a few pilgrims to walk with.

Chronoplus bus 14 from Biarritz Airport to Gare Bayonne.

SNCF TER Aquitaine train 62 from Gare Bayonne to SJPdP, usually 4 times per day.

Otherwise

Express Bourricot provides private hire taxi by pre-arrangement.

A lot of people go to the pilgrim office in SJPdP on arrival. The pilgrim office will help you find a bed at an albergue.

There are 4 trains from Bayonne to SJPdP daily. You will miss the first. The rest are just after 11:00, just before 15:00, just after 18:00. Takes an hour. Costs €8.50. Taxi will be quicker but much more expensive. You could arrive at 8:30, take a bus to Bayonne and the train to SJ and easily arrive around midday. or take it easier and get one of the later trains.

If you land at Biarritz at 1015 it is possible but unlikely that you will catch the 1100 train to SJPdP. It would require taking a taxi and even that presupposes plane arriving on time and getting off the plane fast enough. ... It might be worth considering an attempt to intercept the train at Cambo les Bains ... I would recommend allowing two hours for planning purposes.

Chronoplus offers bus service 14 from Biarritz/Anglet Airport to Gare Bayonne
