Avoid the complementario into Pontevedra

If you’re walking the Camino Portugues right now I’d recommend you avoid the complementario route into Pontevedra. While it is quiet and green and follows the river, it’s also a muddy mess. I slipped several times on the route and would have ended up on my backside at least once if it wasn’t for my trekking poles.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I walked this after rain last year, and agree about it being muddy and needs to be taken with a little more care if it is like that. But I walked the 'normal' route the year before, and I would only do that if the complementary route was closed, eg due to flooding.

Totally agree. We did it yesterday and wished we hadn't. So much mud and slush. Will take weeks to dry out if the weather ever fines up!
