I plan on posting on the calendar as well, but find that listings such as these make it easy to see at a glance who is starting and from where. I guess one question would be whether access to lists such as these is more limited than the calendar.

dougfitz .. I used the calendar in 2013/2014 while planning my Camino and really didn't get the "View" I though would be helpful . I felt the option to see who was going and when they were going and from where in a glance would be a benefit . I found that it was very helpful with my September 2014 Peregrinos thread . With my 2014 thread I was able to meet here on the forum Pilgrims that were leaving the same time as me and was able to meet them in person on the Camino . I heard from many on the list how this list helped them make new friends and hiking partners . Griffin57 started the September Pilgrims 2015 thread and it was extremely successful.

Look at the lists on these links below you can see what I'm talking about . The Calendar is good . This list is better in my opinion .

Plan to depart from St. Jean but I would like to make it a nice round number like 1000 km. The distance varies between people and sites, does anyone know exactly how long the Camino Frances is?

According the John Brierley, the Camino Frances is 790km - then you could make your way to Finisterre followed by Muxía and return to Santigo for another 200km - that's a total of 990km - I am sure you will be able to find a way to spend another 10km - Buen Camino!!

Yes I will.
It depends on the airlines from the Croatian to Lourdes. When I saw that the airport in Lourdes closest SJPP, I decided that my Way kick off at Lourdes. In Lourdes I would have stayed two days. Afterward to Puyoo would go by train, and from Puyoo to SJPP I take a bus.
As you can see, the exact date depends on the few details, which now I have no influence.
