LIVE from the Camino Anyone near Castrojeriz now

Ardennais

from Luxemburg
Time of past OR future Camino
From 20 April 2024
Hi all, I started in SJPP on the 22nd of April and I am in the Corean albergue Orion im Castrojeriz this night. Everything went surprisingly easy until now (touch wood).
Nice people everywhere (pilgrims and locals) and after the first days, I stopped booking beds. I always find something.

I'm just wondering: did I meet anyone of the Forum until now? I'm Willem from Luxemburg.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Why don't you just outright ask everyone in albergue if anyone is a member of the Forum?
Also I would not call Albergue Orion a "Korean" one just because it's "famous" for its billimbab IIRC none of the staff is Korean

Willem, we met in Hornillos and we went to hear the opera music. This is Chis from USA.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Does the owner at Orion still do the basement wine tour? I was there in 2021.

True. Albergue Orion should not be called Korean Albergue simply because it is popular due to its "bibimbap" dinner. However, their "bibimbap" dinner is authentically prepared by the Korean lady (Changsui), Dani's partner in the albergue.

Are you thinking of the Ultrea albergue in Castrojeriz? They serve a community dinner and there's a big wooden winepress by the dinner table. He does a fun basement wine tour and tells great stories. I've stayed there twice and translated for him during the tour. He's a riot. Love that place.
