Hi Forum members!

I'm in Finisterre but will be back in Santiago this afternoon (July 11) as well as on July 12, 13 (my birthday) and the morning of July 14th. I'll be staying at San Martín Pinario.

Message me if anyone is around and would like to meet up.😊

3rd Edition. Vital content training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Are you back in Naples Don (looks like it )😉
Yes, I am. My building is still under repair nearly two years after the hurricane. Sanibel seems to have recovered faster than Vanderbilt Beach, oh well. I got an unsolicited offer for my condo which I am seriously considering. What's next for me? Possibly a move to St. Pete, a move back to Portugal or just perpetually renting places around the world. I obtained my residency in Portugal last year so living in the Schengen Zone should be no issue for me. We'll see.

Are you free tomorrow around 12:15pm? I should be available for about an hour at that time. Or alternatively we could do lunch at Entrepedras or A Porta Verde, but it would have to be after 2pm.

Fail to prepare? reduce your risk by buying this book full of practical info.

Lunch is a great suggestion Wendy! I've been wanting to go to either restaurants but they were both closed last year when I was in Santiago. I guess we need to reserve. What time is good for you? My day is flexible.

Great that you have your residency Don, that opens up a lot of opinions which in turn may make the choice more difficult.

It doesn't surprise me at all that Sanibel recovered faster although the pictures looked devastating, along Vanderbilt Beach of course also. As you know Sanibel has big bucks. After Hurricane Charlie we were not allowed back on the Island until ever single house had been inspected for damage and safety.

Curious to hear what you decide.

You may not hear about my where abouts until November. Big buck on Sanibel for sure, condo v. condo here on Vanderbilt Beach competing for the tradesmen to repair everything, meanwhile the developer who has coined his project the Ritz-Carlton Residences is selling multi-million units at a blistering pace. I want to get out of here fast, the Ferrari dealer nearby can't keep up with the demand.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Shall I try to make a reservation at Entrepedras for 2:30pm?

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

As an aside to this, my sister-in-law owns a waterfront condo on the Atlantic side. After that ocean front condo collapsed in Miami a few years ago, all buildings are being inspected and upgrades being made along the coast. Her assessments have skyrocketed beyond belief. She wonders if it's time to move to The Villages.🙄

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
