Just thought I would add this link about new hostels opening on the Invierno.Apologies if it has already been talked about elsewhere, I'm not familiar with the Invierno but saw the link on my CSJ feed today so thought I would post it.

I'm a little bit confused here.

The article is talking about new pilgrim albergues in three towns: O Barco, A Rua and Vilamartin. I see Asun Arias in mostly behind this but there are already albergues in these towns. In O Barco is albergue in Xagoaza, true, 2km uphill and one in the town would be welcomed. But if an association would organize a transport let's say everyday at 1, 3 and 5pm from O Barco to Xagoaza (something like "trail magic" on PCT) that's for ages in money in comparison to new albergue in the town itself. Just to add that the albergue in Xagoaza is beautiful. And the nature around it too.

In A Rua there are already two: one of Asun's (private) and one in polideportivo. In Vilamartin is existing albergue in polideportivo by the river. I just don't get it.

And as the article mentioned there is real lack of pilgrim accommodation around Monforte de Lemos. Before and after it. Why not put the money into something there???
Ah, I guess local politics again...
