Just got this message earlier today. Posting it here FYI.

Buenas tardes,

Google translate:

Good afternoon, I am contacting you to inform you that the pilgrims' hostel of San Vicente de la Barquera, located on the northern road, is going to change the way it works next week, and will go from being a donation hostel to a tourist hostel. For this reason, I beg you to remove the current information about the hostel (if possible delete it), since in the next few days we will be able to send you the new information with updated photos, rates, etc. We have decided to start by erasing so that the information does not overlap and may create doubts.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Strange as I stayed in this albergue last summer and it was not a donativo. I remember clearly when checking in that we all paid a fixed fee although I don't recall what it was.

I can think of two donativo albergues in Cantabria that will be affected: one in Ontón and of course in Güemes. I can imagine that Padre Ernesto will put up a fight.
