Albergue closures

Which albergues, hostels, etc. are closed for winter? When do they close?

There are excellent resources published on this forum in regard to winter resources. A simple search would take you there.

When the pilgrim traffic dies down and the heating costs rise, many albergues close, starting in mid-October. There are still plenty of beds to accommodate the numbers. Just don't show up at the only albergue in a tiny hamlet, in winter, and expect it to be open unless you have checked first.

If you are planning to walk the Camino Ingles, I think you will find that the albergues on this route are open all year.
