Thank you. We just got one night in Biarritz then onto Badart to start the Camino .It all depends on what you are looking for in Biarritz. Budget or spending some time there. There is an albergue in La Negresse near the train station that is located along the Camino. It part of larger hostel system and requires paying a nominal membership fee. There are a number of places to eat nearby. After I sold my apartment there, I have always stayed at the Hotel St. James which is located on the corner of the very active and engaging Marche area.
Thanks. Sounds like a great planYou can easily walk from Biarritz to St. Jean de Luz in a day. It is 18km along the Corniche. I lived on the south side of Biarritz and walked to Bidart and back for lunch many times. That route was my warm-up for the Camino.
