I came across this random quote this morning and, of course, the camino came to mind. I hope some of you enjoy thinking about it as much as I did.

In our newsletter as a local chapter of the American Pilgrims on the Camino, we use a quote each time. We'll definitely use this. Thanks for sharing this!

Love it! My wife and I walked a combination of four caminos last Aug-Sep. La Vuelta (multi-stage bike race in Spain) was going on at the same time. We saw a quote/saying associated with that bike race that said, "Una vida tiene muchas etapas." Translated, that means "a life has many stages." We adopted that as our mantra for the camino experience.

I have a page of quotes that I like and keep on my ‘phone, that are on a sort of Camino-related theme - some were actually uttered by fellow walkers.
Humour me with the selection below… I hope readers may like one or two and find that they resonate in some way.

This speaks of Camino experiences and “Encounters” (do not look for them, they will find you!) -
"You truly see by not trying to see." The Snow Leopard, Peter Matthiessen. Watching a herd of blue sheep it is by chance you see the snow leopard stalking its prey. You can look straight at where a snow leopard is and not see it.

It is only when I arrive at the end of the journey that I will know the beginning of the story.
