Hi there everyone in the Manawatu, Wairarapa, Rangitikei Southern Hawke's Bay areas,

Phil and Yvonne in Masterton were instrumental in getting the documentary "Walking the Camino" - 6 Ways to Santiago" to come to our part of the world.

It will be shown at Downtown Cinemas in Palmerston North on Wednesday August 5th- so in just two weeks time. The film starts at 6pm and runs until 7.35pm. Then from 7.40-8pm there will be a question and answer time with some returned pilgrims.

The more the merrier- it would be great to see some of you there!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
That's great! Do you know when will it show in Wellington?

No, I've seen another thread that said there'd be showings in Auckland and Dunedin, but I don't know about Wellington. If I find out, I'll let you know.

Hikoi, Here is some info about Wellington screenings at Lighthouse cinemas: http://www.lighthousecinema.co.nz/movie/single/walking-the-camino-six-ways-to-santiago/

"We have Special Q&A screenings on Tuesday 28 July, Light House Cuba at 6.00pm and Monday 10th August, Light House Petone at 6.00pm. You can book for these sessions now. The Q&A panelists include Nicola Martin, Christine Ross and host Shelley Leigh. That's great news to wake up to. I have booked my ticket and am looking forward to it! Cheers

OK so the preview showing was this evening. I had already seen the documentary, as I bought the DVD via Ivar's shop- but I absolutely loved seeing it on the big screen, with all those magnificent landscapes we all came to love. As it turns out, there is actually a 'season' for the movie now in Cinema Gold, http://pn.cinemagold.co.nz/movies/9616.phpand I intend going again just to see those big luscious landscapes again!

We have two showings a day here in Palmy for the next week. Looking forward to seeing it again!

Do you know if it will be showing anywhere around the Bay of Plenty

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

I can't see any showings yet, but more seem to be added as time goes on. It will be in Tauranga on October 1st, and has a short season in Cambridge at present- but I can't see anything closer than that.
You might see something added at this link at some stage. http://www.umbrellaent.com.au/movie/walking-the-camino/
