29 Nationalities I Met on the Camino (Map)

Here's a map I made of the 29 nationalities I met on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage: http://walkingthecamino.wordpress.com/2 ... amino-map/

I wrote down the nationality of every pilgrim I happened to run across on my pilgrimage. Does anyone know of a map showing every nationality that travels the pilgrimage and how many come from each country? I know where to find the info (http://www.archicompostela.org/Peregrin ... CIONALIDAD), but I don't know if a map has already been created.

If not, and if anyone would like to see that map, maybe I'll make one. :)

Hi Dylan,

That's fantastic. For me, one of the best aspects of camino is the people. On the night we finished the Caminho de Portugues there were 17 of us from about 9 different countries . . . celebrating together in Santiago.
Which camino did you do?

Buen camino. Carole

Hello Dylan, Well you missed us! Although we are not Costa Rican, we have lived a long time here and walked for Costa Rica (I think that there were less than 30 walking from C.R. last year). We also walked between mid Sept and end October. Sorry we missed you! Anne

so Dylan
if you have a moment to spare
could you tell me where i could establish how many nationalities are represented on this site

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I felt selfish before, so here's a distribution map of ALL the Camino pilgrim nationalities: http://walkingthecamino.wordpress.com/2 ... -from-map/

Hi Ann,
I am from Costa Rica, and will be walking the camino 9/13 to 9/23, in 2 weeks. Will star in Ferrol. How is the weather then. Does it get very cold, or a lite jacket is ok? I am from Grecia, but living in usa for the last 30 years.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Thanks for the stats Johnny! It's very interesting to see the differences in a holy year - most of the pilgrim increase seems to be from from Spain itself, and it appears more people are leaving from Sarria and other shorter routes than in previous years.

Awesome stuff!
