    To increase my backpack size ...or not.

    I just bought the REI Flash Air 50 as well. Hard to beat it for weight or comfort. Right at 1 lb 15 oz. I used an Osprey Talon 33 on Kilimanjaro a few months ago and wow, this flash Air is so much more comfortable and 9 oz lighter too.

    One thing to be aware of-- most of the ones with multiple USB outlets are limited to 2.1 amps TOTAL for all the plugs. So if you're charging just one device, you get 2.1 amps, and if you plug in a second one, it cuts the output in half to the original device (now sharing the same 2.1 amps)...

    I have both an Osprey 48L and 38L Kestral. They each weigh as least a pound less than the new ones do. the 48L is now well over 4 pounds (according to the REI specs). I'm going to try out the REI Flash Air, which weighs in at 32 oz (right at 2 pounds) for the large size. Can't really see a...
