    El Ganso Earlier Today

    Wow! That's an improvement! 😀

    2 Stamps per day

If they created a list of everywhere that issues stamps, the list would be longer than the Camino. Most cafe's bars etc do them. Just ask . The natives are friendly . . . 🤣

How much Camiño is too much?

Yeah, but you can only do one at a time, right? 🙃

How much Camiño is too much?

It's a bit like someone asking me 'how many guitars do you actually need?' The answer is 'one more than I've actually got!' Same with Caminos, I always want to do one more than I already have. I always say that being on Camino is my 'legal high' . ....😀

Flying a drone on the camino

    Well said . . . 👍

    Lightweight Camino - Forum Input

Good effort with keeping the weight down - I personally wouldn't set out on Camino with a backpack without a hip belt though. Might be a risky tactic to reduce the overall weight -if that's the reason. Most advice is to take the vast majority of the weight through the hips via the hip belt to...

Forwarding your backpack to your next Albergue?

Just so you are aware, you can use bag transfers from hotels, hostels etc, not just albergues. So your wife can avoid the snorers AND transfer her pack if she needs to . . Bom caminho 🙂

    Albergues on Inglés

Hospital can be a pinch-point for accommodation as it is where the two Camino Ingles routes converge- the route that starts in O Coruña and the one that starts in Ferrol. Just two albergues in the village, one municipal and one private. The private one ( Albergue San Lorenzo) is bookable and is...

Best 5-6 Day Route for Last 100-120km in September

You thought of Finisterre- Muxia - Santiago loop?(or do it in reverse order) Very pretty Camino (imo). Full loop's around 210 km but you could adjust the start point to reduce the distance to fit your available time, and still arrive in Santiago as your final destination. ( I presume that the...

Do you drop any personal restrictions on Camino?

Whilst at home, I tend not to walk in to town with my underwear hanging on the outside of my bag. Tried it once . . . People can be so unkind . . . . . . A positive was getting some great recommendations for therapists in the local area 🤣

    Camino Ninja

Just came back from using it on Camino Ingles/Camino Finisterre and worked fine. I tend to use the map feature to check if I've wandered off route, and find the interim distances between cafes etc useful when deciding if/when to give in to the urge to stop as soon as a cafe appears on the way!

    Camino by Coach

In a word, 'No'🙂 ( I knew that I could rely on you to cut through the philosophical replies Trecile! 😉)

    Camino by Coach

I still think anyone who has been walking all day carrying a full pack would be slightly annoyed at what I witnessed. Each to their own I suppose.

    Camino by Coach

To paraphrase Stephen King's musings on being an author; there is a big difference between wanting to write a book, and wanting to say you have written a book. I can see similarities with Camino's . . .

    Camino by Coach

Just finished walking the Camino Ingles/Camino Finisterre ( now languishing in the Seminario Menor in Santiago) I witnessed something a few days ago that I simply have to share. Walking with two friends in the middle of the Spanish countryside, we came upon a table with fruits/ coffee/ water etc...

I may have broken my leg! Pls help in Pontevedra!!!

Speak to the staff wherever you are staying; they'll advise on where to go to get it checked out. They will be a lot better option to help you rather than someone on the forum. 👍

Invierno to SDC rather than Sarria

Sshhh! You're supposed to keep it to yourself! 🤣

LIVE from the Camino Jensjaunt on the Portuguese Coastal

We all have bad days, but 'Bomb Camino' seems a bit of an over - reaction! 🤣

    Medication woes

I take beta blockers, asprin, antacids amiodarone, ramipril (stops me going into cardiac arrest again) and I also 'carry' a defibrillator/pacemaker implant in case the previous stuff doesn't work! Always somebody worse off though . . right? 🙃

Airport buses - changes to services

Probably a silly question, but I'm flying in to Santiago next week and have a coach to Ferrol booked from Santiago main bus station. Is this the same bus station that the airport shuttle ( Linea 24) will drop me off at? I can't remember if there is more than one bus station in SDC . . 🤔
