    vodafone sim purchase

...SIM (but do in other countries they do). Generally this isn't a problem but if you want to visit a country that doesn't support installation of eSIMs you are not going to be able to buy a plan there. The eSIM(s) that you do have will work but you need to be careful about roaming and its...

    vodafone sim purchase

Thanks for the replies! I have an iPhone8 max and originally I was planning to buy a physical SIM card (my phone doesn’t have an eSIM capability). I was with Verizon and didn’t like their international $10/day “plan”, so recently I switched to T-Mobile to a Magenta plan for those aged 55+, since...

    vodafone sim purchase

I have the iPhone SE (2022) it has 2 SIM card slots, one is a e-SIM and the other is SIM. I use the SIM for travel and the e-SIM has my primary phone # Both cards do the same thing. I have the impression that Vodafone likes to sell prepaid SIM cards versus e-SIM. If you were Spanish or spoke...

    vodafone sim purchase

I may be incorrect (and I am sure someone will correct me) but in order to get an eSim with a Spanish phone number you have to physically visit a phone vendor and show your passport. If you don't need a Spanish number and just want data, you can buy an eSim at home and then activate it when you...

    vodafone sim purchase

Out of curiosity, why do you prefer a physical SIM card over an eSIM? I’m asking because I’m considering upgrading an older iPhone for a newer one with eSIM capabilities, seems so much more convenient than finding a store to buy a SIM and getting it installed. What would the downsides of an eSIM...

I waited until Pamplona where I visited the Vodafone shop on the C. de García Ximénez, 5, 31002 Pamplona, Navarra, Spain.

Phone Service while traveling - Holafly?

Suggestions of alternatives DATA only esim options, consider Airalo or Saily. Can be connected either before or upon arrival. Use other app/s for phone calls-video or sms etc..

Phone Service while traveling - Holafly?

Horrible experience with Holafly!!! Purchased a data and phone esim. Had issues with the phone. They offered a 'new' esim, with same services. Turned out it was only for data and I ended up with no phone service for a couple days. Went back and forth a dozen or more times on email / text trying...

Packing List Final Review. Starting in a week! :)

Suggestion: an esim both Airalo or Saily are worth considering, amongst others. You can connect easily upon or before arrival. A Wise card or equivalent would be handy, easier to pay via Google wallet or similar.

Conditions on Napoleon today (April 27)

Maybe? It depends on whether I decide tomorrow to pop in an eSIM… It is more likely that I will do a summary at the end (when I get a SIM in Pamplona to carry on to other routes).

US International Phone plan or Spanish SIM card while on the Camino?

...70Gb or 100+ GB. In the past I have had a dual SIM phone but I use both SIMs at home and so I still need to swap SIM cards. This year I have a new Pixel phone that can take one physical SIM and multiple eSIMs and so I will be experimenting with three SIMs this year. One Spanish and two Kiwi.

    Sim card for Via Podiensis

(the OP asks specifically about France) Last year walking from Le Puy I was on Bouygues telecom. (via eSim) it was fine for coverage and data speeds. I think Orange might have better support for English speakers, maybe. They *market* better to English speakers. :) I had to get help from a French...

    Sim card for Via Podiensis

...phone. Are there any recommendations for certain carriers who would have better reception in that part of France? Unfortunately my phone is not eSIM compatible so I will need to purchase one on arrival. I would love to do this at the airport when I first arrive if possible. I speak...

    SIM card for Europe

I would follow the providers advice. Do they say that the SIM will not work outside the country for which it is bought?

    SIM card for Europe

I see airalo has individual countries are for regions like Europe or Asia. The regional are more expensive. i'am only going to be in Portugal for a couple days the rest in Spain. I'am going to Spain than Portugal than Spain again.

    SIM card for Europe

Dougfitz - I have been looking at many different eSIM websites for my upcoming Camino. They have plans for individual countries and then regional plans for Europe or Asia etc. the regional plans are more expensive. Based on what you are saying, I can buy an eSIM for Spain and it should also...

    SIM card for Europe

I am not sure what you mean by a 'regional plan'. I know that here in Australia the SIM providers advertise plans that cover Europe and the UK as well as other regions of the world. My wife and I both use these and have the SIM delivered to us before we leave home. But what you get is a SIM from...
