Pyrenees Weather rough.

3rd Edition. Vital content training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Wow. That is gorgeous and terrifying! Even though I live in The Hinterlands, I am not built for winter and the thought of walking in icy conditions (it's there! under the snow!!!) gives me a full on panic attack. I think the hearty souls that walk winter Caminos deserve a special Compostela.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

It shows we should always heed weather warnings and take a step back.

Hat off to you MickMac!!

I couldn’t and wouldn’t do it.

Call me a chicken but once here at Mt Kosciuszko was enough for me. Loved it to bits but it put the fear of God in me.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Damn that's beautiful. My next camino is already planned - but maybe the one after that should be a winter camino. I did it in 2017 in December arriving in Santiago 24.December. Only some heavy snow in O'Cebreiro and otherwise light snow the rest of the way - but it was bitterly cold all the way and the walk from cruz de ferro to molineseca was damn near fatal. In Denmark we say that there's no bad weather, only wrong clothes and equipment.
