Hello World!

Time of past OR future Camino
I’m walking the Camino Francés this December.
Hey everyone,

My name is Galahad. I’m 26 years old and work in Cybersecurity. A few years ago, I served in the Dutch military, which shaped my love for challenges and adventure.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the Camino de Santiago, watching documentaries, reading books, and imagining what it would be like. Now, at 26, I’ve decided it’s finally time to walk my first Camino.

This December, I’ll be walking the Camino Francés (shorter route due to time constraints) and couldn’t be more excited. I’d love to hear advice from seasoned Camino walkers, tips, lessons, or insights about the route or preparation. Anything you can share would mean a lot.

If you’re also planning to walk the Camino this December, let me know, I’d love to connect and maybe even share part of the journey.

Looking forward to your wisdom and stories!

Welcome. The forum is full of tips, lessons and insights, although the native search function might make specifics difficult to find. So I expect that there might be some specific question you want to raise. It is easier for forum members to answer these, even when they have been asked before, so ask these as they arise.

Thank you for your response Doug, I appreciate your help 😁

Hello and welcome. I agree with everything dougfitz has said. Also ask anything you can't find an answer to there are no silly questions.
