I heard there were hotels in the square where our Camino ends. Do any of you know the names?

A selection of Camino Jewellery
The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Very close:

Pension Residencia Fonseca
Rúa Fonseca, 1 - Piso 2º , 15705 Santiago de Compostela, Spain

Have you tried Monasterio de San Martin Pinario? It's very close to the Obradoiro Square.

If by "square" you mean the Obradoiro then the only hotel is the parador - the Hostal dos Reis Catolicos. Originally a pilgrim hospital but now upmarket tourist accommodation.

It’s all new to us. We postponed our 42nd wedding anniversary until now. Honestly, now that I have the name of the square, I can look at all the hotels. 😁 Thank you!

Stayed here three times!

Hotel Atalaia

Address:Algalia de Arriba 44, 15704 Santiago de Compostela, Spain
Phone: +34 981 56 63 73
GPS Coordinates: N 042° 52.971, W 08° 32.532

Hotel Plaza Obradoiro is also right next to the Plaza. Have stayed there 3 times in one of the rooms on the top 2 floors facing the Plaza. It’s slightly cheaper than the Parador… clean, modern, relaxing and if you get either of those rooms, you can enjoy the energy of the Plaza from the comfort of the room.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Is it a hotel or albergue? It looks like a hotel but I can’t be sure after what I’ve seen. Lol
It's a B&B with private rooms.
It looks like the bathroom walls are all glass. 😱

Yes it's a b and b and my bathroom was glass had the same room every time.
Bed, shower, breakfast are all good and Cristina is great nothing to much trouble.
It's not cheap!

If you can get in, San Martin would be my recommendation. Right next to the cathedral and the most peaceful place I have ever stayed.

San Martín Pinario is indeed a wonderful place to stay. If you phone (the staff members who answer the phone speak English) or email you can request a "pilgrim room". These rooms are on the fourth floor and haven't been updated, but are still comfortable.
