Albergue in Sao Pedro de Rates

Hi all

Has anyone stayed at the albergue in Rates recently and can advise on how quickly it tends to fill up? We will be walking from Vila do Conde and will take either the aqueduct or the ecovia route, 14 or 18km respectively, but there seem to be limited other accommodation options in Rates so just wondering how early we need to set off from VdC to fight for a bed!

According to Gronze.com the albergue has 50 beds, so there won't be a problem.

I stayed at casa rural Casa Mattos which was wonderful, run by a lovely older couple. Highly recommend.
