In planning for September walk, I have confirmed reservations at Torre Vilarino but have had no success in follow up contact; either by phone, text, or email -including the website and Air B&B app. (Air B&B told me they also had no success getting them by phone.) I’ve used both the phone number Air B&B gave me and the one posted on their website.
Has anyone had any success contacting them?

thanks....that's the number I've been using in WhatsApp; text and phone. I've been unable to leave a message on the phone, so it is good to hear from you that this is in fact the best way to communicate with her.
It appears that pilgrims are appreciating their stay there even now, so I'll keep on trying.

I am pretty sure she doesn’t answer this phone, but has always responded to texts. If you’re not getting a text message response, that’s a different story. Maybe something has changed. I’m wondering if it’s because you booked it through airbnb - I was surprised to hear that Torre Vilarino uses Airbnb, actually, and the price I saw is at least twice the price people have paid relatively recently.

Exactly! Out of desperation, I used Airbnb in order to get a reservation and then decided I needed to check back with her once I saw that her pilgrim rate was discounted. But I have texted her directly using that number through Whatsapp to see if I should reserve with her separately from Airbnb.

It also took me a while to reach out to them. Finally they told me to call at 13:00 when their responsible for reservation is on site.

In case you have no luck, Casa Rural da Vila can also be an option. Some 12 km away from Monforte. Buen camino!

A friend and I stayed there in September 2022 and it was a great stop. They can be slow in responding to email inquiries because their email is managed by external web manager. email@torrevilarino.com

If you have a confirmed reservation, I would be shocked if it is not honored.

She says that someone will always answer at that phone, that she is extremely busy, and apologized for leaving my WhatsApp message unanswered for a few days.

All numbers in Spain have the international dialing prefix code of +34. Sorry not to have included it. If you input the number on WhatsApp, you will need it. If you call from within the country, you don’t.
