HI After walking from Pamp to PLR I need to get back to Pamp the next day to go on to San sebastian - anyone any idea best way to do that? Is there a bus back?

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Thanks when you go into la Estellesa website it has no listings for servies but i'm looking for end of Sept so might just not be published yet.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

yep! You can also get a bus direct to Donostia / San Sebastián. Just look at next weeks schedules for your anticipated day of travel. Timetables rarely change much.

Unlike the Renfe website, which never tells you why there are no trains listed on your selected dates, the Estellesa website posted this notice when I took a look at their website and put in dates for Puente la Reina to Pamplona at the end of September:

  • Los servicios para la fecha seleccionada aún no han sido publicados. Inténtelo de nuevo pasados unos días. (Services for the selected date have not yet been published. Try again in a few days).

If you just want to go to Pamplona, there's a bus back to Pampalona from Puente La Rienna that stops every few hours. There's a bus shelter right near the gas station and the DIA grocery store on the main street in the center of town. It'll be obvious what that means once you're there.

There's a schedule on the wall of the bus shelter. You don't need to buy a ticket in advance, just pay on the bus. It's really quick. I believe it was 2 or 3 euros. I did this in 2022, but I doubt it has changed.

This might be the same bus that everybody's finding on Rome to Rio, or it might be something different. Sometimes Rome to Rio doesn't list local bus service. I found Google maps is better for that purpose.

Rome2Rio is great for showing itineraries, but the schedules it shows often don't correspond with the actual schedule of the bus company, so be careful to dig down to the website of the bus company itself. In this case, as you've found, the bus company is La Estellesa. You can see current schedules from Puente La Reina to San Sebastian here: https://taquilla.laestellesa.com/billete/listado-billetes. Currently, there are buses at 8AM, 11AM, 5PM, and 7:30 PM.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
