Making the most out of Inglés

Hello, I'm new to this forum and I asked what route fits the most what I seek: a more introspective and spiritual (catholic) pilgrimage in a not so major route, with beautiful scenery and small towns and all those things on that side of what El Camino offers. So I was lead to Inglés!

I read that the route can take about 3 days; but i have 5 days available. Any suggestion as to what to do in those spare days? I did some research (looking at like 3 threads) and I found that you can take a detour and visit the monasteries of Santa María de Monfero and San Juán de Caaveiro. Any other suggestion besides this? It sounds magical but I'd love to know if there is more

Thanks to everyone in advance!!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
There are two starting points for the Ingles, where do you plan to start from? You would be quite hard pushed to do it in three days from Ferrol, it's typically more like five days. You could do it in three days if you start from A Coruña, but bear in mind, this won't satisfy the Pilgrims Office if a compostela is important to you.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

Yeah i forgot to mention that i’m starting from Ferrol, i suppose what i read earlier was talking about starting from La Coruña. Thanks!

The Ingles from Ferrol is 116 kms long. So doing it in three stages means stages of 38 kms per day. Too much for me.
I usually do it in five days with these stages:
-Day 1 - Ferrol - Pontedeume 25 kms.
-Day 2 - Pontedeume - Betanzos 18 kms and a superb Tortilla de Patatas in Betanzos.
-Day 3 - Betanzos - Meson do Vento 30 kms
-Day 4 - Meson do Vento- Sigüeiro 27 kms
-Day 5 Sigüeiro - Santiago 16 kms and on time to 12:00 mass at the cathedral.

I'm walking the Ingles for the first time in a couple months and plan to walk the same amount of days and stops as andonius above, other than stopping in Bruma instead of Meson do Vento on day 3.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

I think that it's unusual for pilgrims to walk the Inglés in only 3 days, so you won't really have spare days. Typical stages from Ferrol are usually 5 days, such as on Gronze:

I also saw that some people extend their trip after Santiago de Compostela and continue walking unto Finisterre
This would be my recommendation. Finish at the Ocean

As others have said, 3 days is certainly not the norm for the distance. I guess if you walk 12 hour days it becomes more viable.

Anyway do not miss the Pilgrims mass and good luck.
