Hivall. I am about to walk along the interior route from Lisbon towards Santiago but will turn off to Fatima. Any advice regarding the route and how easy it is to find accommodation, especially outside the main stops, will be very welc9me

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
This site should give you a start. Click on the Accommodation option in the legend. You can turn off at Santarem or Tomar. Tomar was my preference.

Route is well marked with the white/blue signage.

I'm assuming you mean the central route.

The Interior does not go through Lisbon; it's a completely different Caminho.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
Many thanks guys. Just what I needed. I do mean the central route, and Tomar is my planned "turn left". I also plan to visit the Pilgrim Office before leaving.

You could be the first forum member to post pictures and your impressions. It’s only been open a few weeks. Bom caminho,

Ps. They give advice/info on both the caminho and the route to Fatima, so you should be good to go when you leave there.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Picked up our credentials at the Lisbon Cathedral this afternoon. The ladies were extremely helpful. Our thanks to peregrina2000 for highlighting that the office is open for pilgrims starting their Camino in Lisbon.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Great to see pictures and to hear that the staff is helpful (though I expected that would be the case). Bom caminho to you both!

Oh, no, looking at the pictures, I’m wondering if you went to the pilgrim office. The pictures look like you were at the Cathedral office. The pilgrim office I have been told about, run by Via Lusitana, is a small room in the Igreja da Conceição Velha (Rua da Alfândega, downtown). Completely separate from the church, only the entrance is shared.
