I’ve gone thousands of kilometers on my Brompton, marketed as “made for cities.” Much of that has been on rural paths and/or rough terrain, including Santiago to Cee, Fisterra, and Muxia, from Pamplona to León, from Zamora to La Bañeza, etc...
I like the fact that my phone embeds time and location into each image with
EXIF. For that, I need GPS, which uses much less power than the cellular radios, because GPS is receive only while cell frequently transmits to find the best tower.
Actually, it depends on the camera. I would like the view to appear as if my eyes were seeing it from there, which could mean a magnified/zoomed view from much higher.
I went from Luquin to Los Arcos and back on the same path. Mosty of the time, the device claimed to have “three meter accuracy.” But when I plotted the track on a map, much of the return path was twelve meters from the outgoing path.
But...
Personally, if I were looking for a vicarious camino video, I would like one from two or three meters high. It would still get only the backs of heads, except for folks walking the other way. (If I were to publish such a video, I would blur...
If you had included more of your explanation in the starting post (including this request), perhaps most of us would not have felt the need to post it ourselves.
You could probably get one from Amazon, if their search function wasn’t so broken.
Thanks for posting that. Many have flown drones on the Camino, but I doubt many have bothered to check for legality.
