Just curious here, I always thought that the Le Puy route (like the routes from Paris and Vezelay) led directly to the Cize Pass (between SJPP and Roncesvalles) and it was only the route from Arles that crosses at the Somport Pass to the east... -
Completely agree. Best to start well rested. Also would recommend to add some hill walking into the mix, but even if not, you'll likely will be well prepared.

I understood alcohol needed to sprayed directly onto the insect for it to be effective. Merely spraying your gear won't be much point unless you know there are bedbugs present and you are spraying them. Perhaps someone who has better knowledge... -
