Obviously some cities on most routes will have 4 & 5 star hotels, but you'll be struggling to find a route that offers that standard of accommodation every night. Many places you pass through are small and have only a few accommodation options...

None of the routes I have walked offer that level of accommodation outside of major cities.

trecile replied to the thread Taxis and Ubers.That's exactly what my friend and her husband did a few years ago. He stayed in the major towns while she walked. They met up every 4 to 5 days or so.
