Hello, this is Peter here. I am new in this forum as I've registered due to an adventure I am planning for next year. I don't want to hike a full camino, but rather make a round-trip around Santander. * Santander => San Vicente de la Barquera...

If you plan to do social dinners, you will most likely have to stay in albergues, not private places. Money saved, that can be used on cold beers.

I stayed in quite a few private rooms on the Francés this year. The costs were about 30€ to 45€ for a single private room. Usually with private bath, but sometimes shared. I would add about 20€ to that for food.

I’m currently about 2/3 done (just past Astorga). I’m sure I’ve lost weight. Probably 15 pounds by how I feel and how my clothes fit. My Apple Watch is measuring my resting heart rate in the low 50s. And, my legs are looking very toned. But….my...

I walked Camino Frances in Sept 2018. I had lost over 100 lbs over several years and had progressively trained to get ready for about 2 yrs leading up to going on the Camino. To lose the weight I ate about 1300 cals a day and increased walking...
