not really worth it, if it's the one i walked and you miss a coffee opportunity at orbaneja. much more interesting is to find the trail that takes you from the first homes in villafría to the river route into burgos via castañares.

I stayed on the normal trail staying at a wonderful albergue at Carndenuela Riopico.The albergue has a swimming pool!

You don’t book Orisson by email now - they started online booking last year. Their website is here: https://www.refuge-orisson.com/en They’re full in September through to the 21st, which is normal and to be expected..

We were wondering the same before our pilgrimage which we just completed. Started in Porto following the Coastal, Central and Spiritual Variant routes. 17 days walking (we're slow and steady). We ended up planning and booking everything... -

You will pay at least 50% more for a company to pre-book your rooms. You can book your own and be able to choose where you stay ( reviews are helpful). Top Santiago or Caminofacil will move your luggage with a pre- planned itinerary or one day...

Personally, I hope it stays closed. It’s a waste of plastic and unnecessary. You can put it in a reusable bag e.g. drysac or market stall bag.
