    Accessing Camino Passport in Irún

I bought 2 of the last 3 they had on hand. I did not stay there. You may want to write them and then pick them up. 2 per person will work.

    Sorry...it's called TAXICAMINO.

Looking for advice for Camino Primitivo

I transferred by backpack with a private company called Camino Taxi a few years ago.

Looking for advice for Camino Primitivo

Camino Taxi might be best for shipping your baggage. I had a rest day at Lugo and wished I had made one before then. 15 days for the Primitivo for a boomer was quite a struggle at times, even without a backpack. Good luck and Buen Camino

Help choosing between CF, CdN, and VdLP

You could start in Le Puy, France and go as far as you can in the amount of time you have. It's less crowded than the Francis, and you should reach the Spanish border within 3 weeks, if everything goes well.

Which is the harder hike in April?

Thank you so much. You have really nailed my question. I have my airline ticket and now just need to get past the fear of steeps. I'm not concerned too much about the weather, as I expect anything and everything in April.

Which is the harder hike in April?

Many thanks! By harder, I meant the steepness and distances of the stages. The primitivo for me was a bit difficult in spots. Is the Le Puy route to Conques as steep? My French is just a little bit better than my Spanish, but both are very limited.

    newbie seeking advice Camino Primitivo

I never got drenched with rain, so I can't comment on rain running into my boots, but I find that pretty much difficult to do. I hiked the the Portuguese Coastal in May and used waterproof boots. It had rained the previous weeks before we started and there was a lot of standing water. Even...

    newbie seeking advice Camino Primitivo

I would expect the weather on the Primitivo in May to be "like a box of chocolates". You never know what you are going to get. I would take an almost worn out pair of waterproof hiking boots and throw them away once I got to Lugo. I would pack a pair of waterproof lowcut hiking boots...

    Credential for Camino Primitivo

I agree. Purchasing the credentials at the Cathedral does not allow free access. I think the senior discount is for 60 and over.

    Credential for Camino Primitivo

We were charged, although we purchased three credentials, too.

    Credential for Camino Primitivo

There might have been some confusion on the entrance fee, but we just paid what the gentleman was asking for.

    Credential for Camino Primitivo

There is a pilgrim discount, but you must have a credential. We purchased ours there a couple of weeks ago and received the seniors discount, too. I can't remember the age necessary for the discount, but we were way over it. We stayed at Gran Hotel Espana which is just a few blocks from the...
