Hi Jon-oh Im an Australian too, we just went to see The Way My Way last week and decided to do our 2nd Camino, the last one was 7 yrs ago and our next one is 2024, i just found this forum tonight. -

After numerous Caminos, I now prefer "a bit of this"(albergues), and "a lot of that"(pension/hotels/casa rurals)... I like to mix and match.🙂

Or just do the old-fashioned thing and go with the flow. Maybe it'll be open, maybe not. In any event neither Hornillos nor Castrojerez are far away, chock-full of accommodation for walkers.
